I Don’t Want To Live Without It

A solid vision from top to floor
That surely addresses society’s ills to the core
But do me a favor and pass it along
It’s better suited for some impoverished pawn

A colossal derelict this may have been in the past
But that’s only because we didn’t act on it fast
So this time it must be implemented
We can’t allow anyone to circumvent it

Social isonomy for both the old and the young
Imagine all the people on the same ladder rung
That is except for us with the charge to oversee it
It’s the only way we can ever guarantee it

Please don’t remove one single thing from my basement
As a civil abettor I really think my haunt should be exempt
For these accouterments have been in my lineage for years
And unlike that common squatter I really hold mine dear
And I don’t want to live without it
No, I don’t think I should have to do without it
